Noel Tornqvist’s agent Liridon Kelmendi has revealed Leeds United is the type of club he and his client have been looking for.
The Halmstad youngster this week travelled to England to have a trial with Leeds United.
In an interview with 24halmstad, Kelmendi said Leeds United are a club which cares about it’s youth system: “Leeds has a common thing where the entire academy is eating together with the A team, and these are the values we’re looking for. They care about their talents.
“Leeds is a club that really takes care of their players, they’re at the top of England in talent development and that made me and Noel come here. It has gone well.”
Tornqvist’s trial with the Championship side has gone well, and he ended the week training with the club’s U18s, after initially starting out with the U16s.
Leeds United, along with several other clubs are very keen to land the 15 year old when he’s eligible to sign his first professional contract, with claims Tornqvist is expected to have further trials with the English side.
With Pontus Jansson and Pawel Cibicki already at Leeds United, Tornqvist could be the next Swede to arrive at Elland Road. The youngster’s agent certainly seems to be sold on the Championship club.
