The Valencian media continues firmly believing Carlos Soler will not move to Manchester United. At least not anytime soon.
On Tuesday, they had already shown disbelief and even some sarcasm saying there would be ‘only’ two conditions for the Red Devils to sign him: paying his €80m release clause and convincing him to leave his childhood local club.
And now, with a headline saying ‘Valencia do NOT sell Carlos Soler’, Deporte Valenciano back up their own opinion saying that for now, the ‘case is closed’.
Since the English media said the player could be available for only £30m, the revelation of the release clause is considered to be the big reason why there’s no chance the transfer will happen now.
But Deporte Valenciano also confronts what has been said in England, claiming that although Manchester United have denied the interest in the midfielder, the club have actually been watching him for months.
However, despite all this confidence that Soler is staying for now, there’s obviously a concern he could leave in the future. The outlet mentions that no matter what the release clause is, low or high, it always depends on the player’s wishes. And if he keeps playing like this, another attempt will come very soon.
The Valencia media are probably far more worried about Manchester United interest, at least right now, than they need to be.
