According to a claim in the Italian media Brescia owner Massimo Cellino could look to bring in former Leeds United sporting director Nicola Salerno.
The two worked together at Leeds United during Cellino’s first season at Elland Road.
TMW have reported Brescia’s current sporting director Renzo Castagnini is on the verge of saying his farewell to the Serie B side, and Salerno is in the frame to take over.
Cellino has already been making major changes since his take over at Brescia this summer after the former Leeds United chief has openly questioned the future of Roberto Boscaglia, who now looks out.
Cellino initially worked with Salerno whilst he was the Cagliari president and owner before they were reunited at Leeds United in 2014.
In the first 12 months at Leeds United the two Italians adopted a policy of recruiting from their home country with mixed results, before Salerno left for Watford.
Given their previous work relationship it always looked on the cards that Salerno could be reunited with Cellino at Brescia.
