L’Equipe report Crystal Palace have pretty much given up on Mamadou Sakho, and are now looking at other targets.
Liverpool continue to demand a high price for Sakho, despite Jurgen Klopp making it very clear the defender isn’t part of his plans.
Crystal Palace have begun formal negotiations with Adil Rami, report L’Equipe, with the French newspaper adding that a proposal to join the club should be with Rami in ‘the next few hours’.
Marseille and Besiktas have also made proposals to the France international, and L’Equipe make it sound very much like clubs, including Crystal Palace, are talking to the player directly, and his representatives.
Rami is still contracted to Sevilla, and that deal lasts until June 2019, but the Spanish club are ready to discuss the terms of an exit.
Rami’s choice won’t be purely financial, with the player feeling he has a good chance of making the World Cup if he can impress at club level next season.
