Rangers have been credited with an interest in Nedim Bajrami late in this window. Philippe Clement’s side are said to have made an attempt to snatch him away from Sassuolo.

Sportmania in Albania report that the 25-year-old will leave the Serie A side for Rangers.

They make it clear this is their own information and add that Rangers will sign him on a loan deal with a buying option.

SassuoloNews.net have responded to this claim of Rangers reaching an agreement to sign the player.

The Italian club signed the attacking midfielder on loan from Empoli in January 2023 and made his stay permanent later that year. He still has three years left on his contract.

Bajrami didn’t enjoy regular game time last season, but his situation has improved this season. He has clocked in 182 minutes from three games, managing an assist in the process.

Despite the ‘flattery’ from Philippe Clement’s side, SassuoloNews.net insist the Serie A side have ‘no intention’ to let the Albania international leave.

Sassuolo could have considered selling one of their best players under certain conditions, but not less than 48 hours before the window closes.
