Boulaye Dia is still at Salernitana, despite all his efforts to move away. There has been talk of interest from West Ham and Newcastle in recent weeks but nothing on that front has transpired.

For over a year, he’s wanted a Premier League move and a Wolverhampton Wanderers switch fell through late in the summer 2023 window.

This led to a fair amount of drama at Salernitana, as he tried to force a move to England.

That possibility has now ‘vanished’.

Corriere dello Sport have reported that Lazio recently made contact for the Senegal international and they could look to sign him this summer.

We previously have covered a TuttoSalernitana’s report, which mentioned interest from West Ham and Newcastle.

Joining a Premier League club was the striker’s dream and Salernitana were thought to be trying to attract West Ham and Newcastle using intermediaries that operate in England.

Neither of the two clubs have come forward for Dia. Considering that West Ham now have Niclas Füllkrug and Newcastle have at least two strikers, they probably don’t even need him.
