Manchester United and Newcastle United continue to chase Atalanta star Éderson.
That’s at least what TNT Sports in Brazil are reporting, and they add the 25-year-old is ‘still in the sights’ of Manchester United and Newcastle.
As well as the Premier League duo, Barcelona and Juventus are in the mix to sign the midfielder.
The Red Devils and Eddie Howe’s side have looked at Éderson earlier this year. Back in May, Tutto Atalanta reported the Magpies had offered €40m for the Brazil international in January.
Newcastle had shown interest in the summer window, but no deal took shape. Towards the end of the same window, Manchester United reportedly tabled a €50m bid. However, La Dea refused to sell as they didn’t have sufficient time to sign his replacement.
Éderson was a ‘standout’ player for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side last season and starred in the Europa League final win over Bayer Leverkusen. He’s made five starts for Atalanta this season.
Three months ago, the player said he’s “curious” about the Premier League. This may give Manchester United and Newcastle an edge over Barca and Juve.
