Niclas Füllkrug is on his way to West Ham United, quite literally.

The Hammers moved rapidly for the signing over the past few days and have quickly agreed to pay what Borussia Dortmund want. A German consensus has the fee at a little over €30m including potential bonuses payments.

West Ham may be going a little higher than they would really like for the 31-year-old but they’re getting the deal done and will be able to include the striker in the rest of their preseason.

Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger now reports Niclas Füllkrug has this morning departed Borussia Dortmund’s training camp in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland.

BVB have confirmed that directly, and the Germany international will now travel to London, today, where he’s set to have a medical.

Julen Lopetegui should then be able to count on the player in the coming days, giving him the chance to settle in with the squad, on and off the pitch, before the Premier League season starts.

Niclas Füllkrug scored 16 goals last season and added 10 assists.
