Everton’s potential involvement in a deal for midfielder Tanner Tessman appears to be at an end, with the player no longer heading to Inter Milan.

That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who report that the midfielder was not keen on leaving Inter on loan should he join them, and so that deal is now off the table.

Several reports had put Tessman in Everton’s sights over the last few weeks, explaining that Inter Milan were eyeing a move for the Venezia midfielder.

Their plan, it seems, was to sign the 22-year-old this summer and then send him out on loan for a year, perhaps longer, and Everton were one of the sides potentially in the mix for him.

That potential outcome seems to be off the cards now, though, as Sport Mediaset report that while Venezia have confirmed Tessman will be on the way this summer, he’s no longer going to end up at Inter.

They’ve held talks over him and would have even left him at Venezia, but the midfielder did not like that hypothesis, preferring to look for a different solution to his future.

He now has the likes of Como and Torino looking into a potential deal. Inter are not completely out of the race but a deal seems unlikely, which in turn would suggest a move to Everton is also not on the cards.
