As Chelsea continue with their chase for Victor Osimhen, even Napoli know they can’t hold the striker for much longer.
President Aurelio De Laurentiis had this week a chat with journalists about the striker’s situation, and admitted that the player may be off from the club soon.
The club chief even named Chelsea as one of the potential destinations for Osimhen, who is wanted by several clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, with the quotes from the president being relayed by Corriere dello Sport.
“Victor Osimhen is a great player: Naples is fantastic, there are some players who have stayed there like Hamsik for eleven years. Or like others for eight years. And there are others who are attracted by Real, by PSG, by Arsenal, by City, by Chelsea.
Chelsea’s pursuit of Osimhen may have been on for a long time, but it’s actually quite impressive how the rumours have started to grow even more over the past few days.
It’s been recently said that the Blues are staying in constant contact with the striker’s entourage, as they want to make sure to convince him to join them before reaching a deal with Napoli.
Also this week, former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikelclaimed that Osimhen wants to join Chelsea and is set to snub other Premier League clubs.
Now all the Stamford Bridge side need to do is to pay for his transfer, which won’t be cheap.
