Manchester United and Chelsea are among the clubs chasing Swedish jewel Jonah Kusi-Asare, according to today’s Sport.
The 16-year-old came up through the ranks of Swedish side AIK’s youth system and has already made his way into their first team.
He’s made four substitute appearances for them, but the striker’s fine displays for the youth teams and his potential have caught the attention of Manchester United and Chelsea.
It’s said the Premier League duo and Bayern Munich are all interested in securing a deal for the youngster.
The newspaper has a piece on Kusi-Asare, who is compared to Zlatan Ibrahimović in his home country. That’s due to his height [1.96m], his quality and ‘ease of seeing the goal’. They say his style of play is close to Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
Even though he still lacks precession in the final third and needs to improve his decision making, they explain that he ‘has everything to succeed’.
This has seen Kusi-Asare attract interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern.
The report adds it’s ‘matter of time’ before he follows in the footsteps of Ibrahimović and Isak.
