Nottingham Forest eyeing up €40m swoop for duo – Club have ‘very clear ideas’ for them

Stopping their run of defeats with a 1-1 draw away to Wolves, Nottingham Forest are still in a rather precarious position in the Premier League.

They sit five points clear of the relegation zone after 16 games, but their form could easily see them slip further down the table if nothing changes.

January could be the ideal time to bring in some reinforcements, and Tutto Juve in Italy claim Nottingham Forest are after two of Juventus’ players.

The article relates to Federico Gatti and Andrea Cambiaso, two surprises from this season, described as ‘two of the most beautiful faces’ of Max Allegri’s current squad.

There are a couple of reasons for that: firstly, because they are seen as the ‘concrete representation of the bianconero team spirit and soul’, while others appreciate the hard work the pair have put him, starting from the bottom to reach their current positions ‘without anyone’s help’.

This is why Juventus are very protective of them, and have had ‘very clear ideas’ that they will not be sold, ‘even in the face of important offers’.

Nottingham Forest, however, haven’t heeded these warnings, with it said they ‘would have come up’ with €25m for Gatti, while also being prepared to ‘spend more than €15m’ on Cambiaso.

It seems, however, that neither will be moving, meaning Steve Cooper will have to look elsewhere.
