Watford are trying to make sure Jorge Cabezas is available to play for them, according to claims from Colombia.
Signed by the Hornets back in January, the player has been struggling to get a work permit and could not complete the move to England yet.
Cabezas was last loaned by Watford to New York City Red Bulls, and Pipe Sierra now reports the end of his spell in the United States.
It’s claimed that the player is now travelling to England to try to get his work permit there.
In case he finally gets approved, then he ‘will play for Watford’, with whom he has a contract until 2029.
The Hornets signed Cabezas from Real Cartagena in January. Back then, they first loaned him to Independiente Medellin, and in June he made the move to New York.
He hasn’t played a lot in MLS, with only five appearances made, and no goals or assists.
Now it seems Watford want the 20-year-old to be closer to them, and maybe that could prepare him to be ready for the next season at Vicarage Road.
