Everton are yet to sign a new striker after having failed to bring in a new No.9 in January.
The Toffees were keen on signing Beto in the last window and even tabled a bid, which was turned down by Udinese. This was confirmed by the Serie A side’s officials, including their manager, earlier this year.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, relayed by Tutto Udinese, states Everton are back in the mix for the 25-year-old.
Di Marzio now claims the Premier League side aren’t willing to give up as they still have a concrete interest in their long-term target. In fact, he explains that Everton could ‘present an offer’ for the Portuguese ‘in the last few days’ of the window.
The journalist doesn’t specify the figure the Merseyside club are planning to offer or the fee needed to convince Udinese to let go of the player.
Beto has a goal and an assist to his name from two games this season, which so happens to be a goal and an assist more than what Everton have managed as a team so far in two Premier League games.
