By now, most Chelsea fans will be aware that any deal Romelu Lukaku may have wanted to sort out with Inter Milan will be off the table.
That’s because the Serie A side found out he had spoken to Juventus despite repeatedly telling them he only wanted a move to San Siro.
That has led to a lot of vitriol being sent the Chelsea forward’s way from Italy, and it has continued on Friday, as Gazzetta dello Sport had a chat with Beppe Bergomi about the striker’s behaviour.
In short, the former defender made his views very clear and certainly wasn’t ready to forgive the player for what he has done to date this summer.
He said: “Life is about choices and Lukaku has made them. There is no way to recover after what happened in the last few days. Romelu has had market chats with AC Milan and Juventus. There’s no going back now. I’ve always defended him, even when he was criticised for missing goals.
Lukaku is currently training in Cobham with the rest of the Chelsea outcasts, who recently saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave their ranks as the Gabon international starts to close in on a transfer to Marseille on a free.
This leaves the Belgian with Hakim Ziyech and Armando Broja to wait on their futures, with the latter reportedly in talks regarding a move to West Ham.
