The agent of Salernitana forward Massimo Coda is set to hold meetings with the club’s leaders in the coming weeks to discuss the future of his client. The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent months, but also to clubs from Serie A.
However, Lotito will still try to convince Coda to remain with the Serie B club given he has a long-term contract with them, but the forward at this stage of his career may want to make the step up.
During the last window we covered reports from the Italian and the British press that Leeds United had made an offer for Coda following comments from his agent. Beppe Galli spoke about requests coming in for his client, but he didn’t go as far as revealing which clubs were interested.
However, in November Galli did confirm interest from an English club to sign Coda in the last transfer window. Even though he didn’t mention Leeds United, Galli did hold meetings with the Championship side in the last window.
It was claimed Leeds United had been offered Coda for €3.5m, but a deal couldn’t be done in time.
