Amid a lot of rumours claiming that AC Milan would be interested in signing Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko in the summer, the player has made it very clear he has no interest in leaving White Hart Lane in the near future.
He said: “My future is at Tottenham, and I’m trying to give my best. I’m trying to learn because I have to get used to a new style of playing in a new team”.
The 27-year-old has only started 10 games from a possible 44 this season, making 24 appearances overall, and is yet to score a goal despite picking up four assists.
Tottenham decided to gamble on the then Championship player after seeing him excel for France during the latter stages of the 2016 Euros in France, but it seems Pochettino still isn’t convinced the player has what it takes to be a regular member of his team.
The fact Moussa Sissoko has always said what’s on his mind (regularly expressing his desire to play for a Champions League club when at Newcastle etc…) suggests this isn’t just a media appearance to appease his club, but rather what he actually wants.
Whether Tottenham will share that feeling at the end of the season, however, remains to be seen.
