When Willian was rescinding his contract with Corinthians, it was common to see the Brazilian media claiming the player was on his way back to England, where he was expected to sign a deal with Fulham as a free agent.
The player has indeed moved to London, as constantly shown on his Instagram, but since there’s no deal announced with any club yet, there’s obviously some curiosity about what happened between him and the Craven Cottage side.
Goal Brasil writes about this situation today, and points out that even though the destination ‘seemed simple’, with Fulham showing interest, it’s said the talks are currently ‘stagnant’.
Goal claims that despite recent meetings between Fulham and his staff, with the Craven Cottage side even inviting him to train at their facilities, things did not advance.
That’s why he now listens to other offers, and despite living in London, he could move somewhere else as long as he gets an attractive bid.
