Arsenal’s Héctor Bellerín will have to return to the Emirates after finishing a season-long loan stay at Real Betis.

The right-back managed five assists from 32 matches in all competitions and was part of their Copa del Rey winning squad, where he played 120 minutes in the final against Valencia.

At the weekend, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that AS Roma view the Arsenal player as a ‘perfect fit’ for them.

The defender’s deal with the Gunners runs down in 2023. Although he will have to return to the north London club, his desire is to make a switch away from Mikel Arteta’s side.

That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who report his return to Arsenal is ‘only in passing’, meaning he will not be staying at the Premier League club.

Bellerín has a ‘clear’ idea for the future, which is to rejoin Real Betis this summer, even if the La Liga side don’t have the necessary funds to carry out his signing. For this reason, he has received interest from other clubs in Spain and also in Italy.

TMW state that some Serie A sides have ‘tested the ground’ with the Arsenal fullback’s agent to understand the conditions to carry out his signing this summer.

Bellerín is on the agenda of AS Roma, Fiorentina, Juventus and Inter Milan. He earns €4m per year at Arsenal.
