Tottenham would like to repeat the deals they did for Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur with Juventus for midfielder Weston McKennie.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say Tottenham are ‘ready to deal’ with Juventus for a loan with a right to buy included.
McKennie has been heavily linked with a move away from Juventus for the best part of the last year, with him struggling to establish himself as a key player under Max Allegri.
With Juventus now seemingly pushing to bring Paul Pogba back to the club, that will only push him down the pecking order, and Tottenham are looking to take advantage.
CM explain that they are one of two teams ‘ready to deal’ with Juventus for a loan deal for the midfielder, similar to the deals they negotiated for Bentancur and Kulusevski in the January transfer window.
Those two moves have worked out well for all parties concerned, and they want to repeat the operation to bring McKennie to the club as well.
Whether Juventus will sanction such a deal isn’t mentioned, but they could be encouraged given how well Kulusevski and Bentancur have done since their moves to Tottenham four months ago.
It remains to be seen if a deal can be struck, and Spurs seemingly have a plan in place to bring another Juventus player to the club.
