At just 15 years of age, Pietro Pellegri made history when he came on for Genoa against Torino last week, as he became the joint-youngest player ever to appear in Serie A.
The youngster made a three minute cameo, and it hasn’t taken the Italian media too long to come up with transfer rumours.
According to Calciomercato, Manchester City have been keeping close tabs on Pellegri.
The Premier League side sent their ‘best scout’ at youth level to monitor his progress, whilst Inter Milan have also been linked to him.
Juventus have reportedly already made contacts to sign Pellegri, but Calciomercato believe they’re now reconsidering it after his valuation went up.
Genoa, however, have no intention of selling him, as they believe he has the talent to make it big. The 15 year old is primarily a centre forward, but has also played on the wings in youth level matches.
Earlier this month we covered reports from Italy Manchester City were keen on the player. Genoa coach Ivan Juric is keen to keep the youngster at the club, but will be concerned about the attention Pellegri is now getting.
