A week ago, we relayed news from Spain that Atlético Madrid and Sevilla will ‘try to close’ Alexandre Lacazette’s signing.
The forward’s contract at Arsenal runs down at the end of the season and there’s been no signs of both parties finding an agreement over a new deal anytime soon.
According to Le10 Sport, the 30-year-old seems to be ‘heading towards the end of an adventure’ at the Emirates. That’s because the former Lyon man doesn’t intend to sign an extension with the north London club.
It’s also claimed the talks between the Frenchman and Mikel Arteta’s side over an extension hasn’t progressed in the right direction.
With the talks stalled, there are ‘high’ chances he could leave Arsenal in the coming months.
Prior to joining the Premier League side in 2017, reports had indicated Atlético showed interest in the player.
Le10 Sport now claim Los Rojiblancos are still interested in him and haven’t ‘broken’ contacts with his representatives.
It’s further explained Lacazette is ‘naturally’ on the La Liga winner’s shortlist and his signing on a free transfer is a ‘priority’ for Diego Simeone’s side next summer.
