Oleksandr Zinchenko has struggled with injuries since arriving at Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022.
The Ukraine international was on the sidelines for over a month between September and October, limiting his game time to 178 minutes from five games this season.
Zinchenko has lost his place at Arsenal to summer signing Riccardo Calafiori in the left-back slot, but this didn’t impact his place in the national team.
Former Manchester City and Barcelona scout Bojan Krkić Sr. has talked about the Arsenal player in his column for Friday’s edition of Sport. He takes a look at the players who can be ‘accessible’ for clubs in January and includes the 27-year-old in the list.
According to the scout, Russia’s invasion of his homeland is ‘affecting him’, and this in turn has been impacting his performances for the Gunners.
He adds Mikel Arteta’s decision to favour Calafiori ahead of Zinchenko is another reason why he lost his place at the Emirates.
Bojan Krkić Sr. has told Zinchenko to leave the north London club in January. He can also operate in midfield and is ‘well gifted technically’, which may help the Ukrainian find a new club if he decides to leave Arsenal.
This is the view shared by the scout and it’s not given that Zinchenko will change clubs in the winter market.
