As the Italian media continues to follow Inter Milan’s pursuit for the signing of Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin, some strong claims are made today by outlet Calciomercato.

The website writes that the 26-year-old has now ‘asked for his sale’ during a visit to the the Gunners’ headquarters.

That’s obviously seen as a great sign for the Serie A side, who have his move as a ‘priority’ for the summer transfer window.

It’s said Inter want Bellerin to replace Achraf Hakimi, who’s left for Paris Saint Germain. The Arsenal player has already given the green light for the transfer, and the Italian side are now working on a deal with Arsenal.

Calciomercato writes there’s an approval from Arsenal regarding a loan, but the clubs are still to find an agreement regarding a clause for a permanent move.

The Gunners believe it should be triggered in case some performance goals are reached, while Inter Milan want it to be a regular buying option.

Either way, Bellerin having ‘asked to leave’ is now seen as a big step in the right direction for the transfer to get done.
