Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz has been confirmed as one of Brazil’s XI starters who will face Bolivia in a World Cup qualifier tonight.
Local outlet UOL today brings an interesting piece saying the midfielder convinced manager Tite ‘in only ten minutes’, and could be holding this place in the team for a long time.
Douglas Luiz is set to play alongside Real Madrid’s Casemiro in the upcoming matches. He won the dispute against Lyon’s Bruno Guimarães for a spot which was usually held by Juventus’ Arthur.
It’s said the Aston Villa player was impressive in the ten minutes he had for the national team, in a match against South Korea last year. Now he did great in this week’s training sessions, and the staff think he’s ‘arrived to stay’.
That’s a problem for Arthur, who’s played very little since leaving Barcelona. There’s also been off the pitch issues for the current Juventus man.
Now among the many Manchester City, PSG, Liverpool and Real Madrid stars at the Brazilian national team, there’s an Aston Villa player showing he deserves to be among them as well.
