French forward Bafetimbi Gomis signed for Marseille on loan from Swansea City at the start of the season, but the Ligue 1 club don’t have the option to make the deal permanent.
French media outlet Le 10 Sport say Gomis knows he won’t be retained at the club next season, despite his impressive performances, after the arrival of the new ambitious owners.
Gomis has been speaking to the French media, and was asked about his future at the Ligue 1 club.
The Swansea star insists he’ll consider his future at the end of the season, and has his focus set on Marseille at the moment.
He said: “I signed on a loan deal and invested 200% in this project at Marseille. We will do the necessary at the end of the season, when it’s time.
“There are no international breaks or transfer window currently. There is no possibility that separates me from Marseille. I am very happy to wear this jersey and I will fulfill the goal I set myself early in the season.”
Gomis was forced out of Swansea City by Francesco Guidolin, but he could return to the Welsh club next summer with the Italian manager now sacked.
