Hadi Sacko’s comments about being very keen on Leeds United, the club’s supporters, atmosphere, and all things English football, have naturally made their way over to Portugal.
Sporting are no dummies in the transfer market, and the FC Porto sale of Eliaquim Mangala to Manchester City will only help underline the possible benefits from such a sale.
However, things didn’t go well immediately and Sacko was loaned out in the summer to Leeds United, where he’s done much better.
Sporting aren’t going to get a Mangala type fee for Sakco, but Portuguese newspaper O Jogo point out in their Saturday edition that his release clause is no less than €60m.
Whilst Sporting won’t get that, it’s not been said that Leeds have a fixed figure to buy, giving Sporting room to negotiate, or sell the player on to someone else after Leeds have shown he can do a job.
