Inter Milan are back chasing Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to claims from the Italian press this week.
Newspaper Tuttosport says the Nerazzurri were interested in signing the Frenchman back in January, but ended up changing their focus as they worked to get Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur.
Still, the doors were never closed, and the club should once again have a chance to sign Giroud in the summer, when his contract with the Blues expires.
It’s claimed that the striker will not sign a renewal with Chelsea, which means the Italian side will be able to sign him without spending a penny this time.
Tuttosport claims states that not even the new chances he’s been getting at Chelsea are convincing Giroud to stay at Stamford Bridge. But he wouldn’t get a lot of playing time at Inter Milan either, since they’re only looking for a striker so they can have a backup option for Romelu Lukaku.
