Last week saw a number of reports pop up regarding Premier League interest in Stade de Reims’ left-back Hassane Kamara.
The 25-year-old has all of a sudden caught the attention of a number of clubs in England’s top-tier, with the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Watford mentioned by various French outlets.
It’s the latter of the four we’ll be focusing on a bit more on today, as following L’Equipe’s claim that Nigel Pearson’s side had enquired about Kamara, they are now in talks to get a transfer done.
That’s what Le10 Sport were claiming late on Sunday evening, explaining Watford were ‘forcing’ to get a deal sorted before January 31st.
Lyon are also hovering as they are in need of reinforcing the left hand side of their defence, and a good sale for Stade Reims would see them make a tidy profit, seeing as he arrived at the club in 2015 on a free transfer from Châteauroux.
We now have to wait and see if Watford’s supposed pressure to get this done kickstarts a bidding war or if they’ll be left alone to snap up a wanted man.
