Leeds United will have to pay Torino just under £4m to make Pontus Jansson’s move permanent. The 24-year-old is currently on loan with the Championship side, and they have an obligatory redemption on the defender if he plays a set number of games this season.
Garry Monk’s team turn have managed to turn around their season after a shaky start, and Jansson has been a major factor in achieving this. It also been reported Jansson’s former club Malmo will receive 5% of the transfer fee.
Leeds United have an obligation to sign Jansson if he plays 20 games, and the Sweden international recently revealed this was agreed when he joined the club.
With Jansson’s performances in the past few weeks it’s looking very likely he will reach this number of games, and will become a permanent fixture at Elland Road.
