Jorginho’s agent isn’t feeding any transfer rumours with the Italian press. The Chelsea midfielder’s representative was interviewed by Radio Kiss Kiss on Monday, and when asked if Maurizio Sarri tried to bring him to Juventus this summer, he said there wasn’t anything in it.
“No, nothing like that happened,” João Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss (via Calcio Mercato).
João Santos actually had something quite interesting to say, claiming that Jorginho wouldn’t be leaving the Stamford Bridge anytime soon, since there’s a whole plan for him to succeed there for quite some time.
“We have a medium-long term project at Chelsea, as done with Verona and Napoli. There are five years of contract and we say that he would like to stay there for at least four more.”
The only reason why Jorginho has been linked to a move to Juventus this summer is because of his relationship with Maurizio Sarri, since they worked together at Napoli and then moved to Chelsea in 2018.
Now with these quotes from the agent, perhaps it’s time for the Italian media to realise that the midfielder won’t spend his entire career playing under Sarri.
At least not for the next four years.
