Last week Mario Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola caused quite some fuss when he called Jurgen Klopp a ‘piece of shit’.
Whilst it was understood that Liverpool wanted to get rid of Balotelli, and Raiola understood that, it was the process of that, and not allowing him to train properly which caused annoyance.
Klopp then contradicted those claims in his weekly press conference, arguing that Balotelli hadn’t been isolated, but the striker’s new manager has made comments which back up Raiola.
Speaking to German magazine SportBild, Nice manager Lucien Favre explained: “At the end at Liverpool he was not even allowed to train with the pros, for months he had no match and four very, very difficult years behind him – after that we must not forget all his qualities.”
Balotelli scored twice on his debut for Nice at the weekend, helping his new side to a 3-2 victory over Marseille.
