Marca explain on Thursday that Deportivo La Coruna aren’t very happy with Colombia’s national set-up, because they’ve ruined their Marlos Moreno fitness plan.
Whilst that isn’t unusual in itself, some players get no minutes on international duty, Depor had a fitness plan all ready to get Moreno ready.
Having won the Copa Libertadores with Atletico Nacional on July 27th, the player was given a holiday until August 18th.
Depor’s idea was to use the international break, which for them started on August 27th, to get Moreno up to speed fitness wise, having come from a different football calendar.
That opportunity was taken away with the Colombia call, and now Depor are angry because they are now back in the situation where they have to get Moreno fit.
The club are very eager to get their loan player on the pitch but recognise he’s not up to speed just yet.
