As PSG have grown in prominence over the past few years, one aspect reported on less than others is the club’s fans.
Ahead of big European matches, L’Equipe often has articles on what the club’s ‘ultras’ plan to do. Whether that be travelling in relatively big numbers (in comparison to how it once was) or whatever special things they plan ahead of matches.
There’s a real effort to make the ultras seem on the same level as those at other big European clubs.
L’Equipe report there’s a mutual ‘respect’ between PSG and Liverpool fans, and there’s no suggestion of any trouble on the way. What is planned is a ‘giant tifo’ with the words ‘Come On’, in English, which the fans hope will inspire the team to get the result needed.
It’s not exactly ultra ultra behaviour from ‘Le Collectif Ultras Paris’.
As for the travelling Liverpool fans, around 2000 are expected and it’s thought there’ll be English fans sat around the stadium.
There are no ‘specific fears’ regarding potential fan concerns.
