As things stand, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou continues to be a Tottenham player despite his club’s best efforts to find him a temporary spell elsewhere.
Accepting a loan offer from Mainz, Spurs presented the offer to the Frenchman, who has yet to agree to terms, partly down to an interest from Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1.
However, should that avenue not lead anywhere, another side could very well end up knocking on Daniel Levy’s door: Lille.
Christophe Galtier’s side have had a good first couple of games this season, helped by the form of Nicolas Pepe, targeted by a number of big clubs around Europe.
If that were to happen, the Tottenham forward would become one of their top two targets, alongside Paul-Georges Ntep, according to Mercato365.
Unable to spend loads to replace Pepe, Lille would have to consider loans, preferably for players who have Ligue 1 experience, which Nkoudou and the Wolfsburg man have aplenty.
At this rate, it’s hard to see the 23-year-old staying at Tottenham, but he just needs to find the right landing spot for himself.
