Rasmus Kristensen has been a regular at Eintracht Frankfurt since joining them on loan from Leeds United last summer.

The Denmark international played 34 games for Eintracht Frankfurt and has been a key part of Dino Toppmöller’s squad.

Tipsbladet cover comments made by the Leeds man, stating that he’s currently having the best spell of his career in Germany.

Kristensen claims he made changes to his diet and approach which has helped to improve his performances on the pitch.

The right-backed joined the Whites from Red Bull Salzburg in June 2022 and was on loan at AS Roma last season. He failed to impress regularly during his time in Italy but has starred for the German club this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt have secured a €15m purchase option while the German media have insisted that they don’t want to pay more than €10m. Kristensen’s contract at Elland Road lasts until 2027 and his future beyond this season remains uncertain.

“I’m still owned by Leeds, so that’s the scenario I have to work in. That is a fact,” he said.

The 27-year-old, for his part, is keen on extending his stay at Eintracht Frankfurt beyond this season and hopes to find a solution with Leeds.

“Yes, I would like to, and I have not hidden that either. It is a place where my family and I are happy. I hope that we can find a solution to that, but if not, then you have to be happy somewhere else,” Kristensen explained.
