Wolverhampton Wanderers hold all the power when it comes to Fábio Silva, who will be ‘much desired’ in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to AS, who report that the striker has ‘revitalised his career’ at Las Palmas and now faces a summer of transfer negotiations one again.
According to the newspaper the Wolves striker wants to settle in Spain permanently and there are several clubs there who have their eye on him thanks to his performances for Las Palmas this season.
However, Wolves hold all the power and negotiations with them will be ‘necessary’ if the Portuguese striker is to move at any point.
Silva has been a permanent fixture for Las Palmas since arriving on loan from Wolves in the summer and justified that with eight goals and two assists in 21 league games so far and numerous impressive performances under his belt.
AS say he is ‘displaying a period of maturity’ that has revitalised his career and got Spanish clubs lining up to take him.
He sees Spain as the ideal place to now establish himself fully and would like to stay but any interested parties need to negotiate with Wolves. The suggestion is they may not make things easy, despite his current deal expiring in 2026.
They would, presumably, be keen to recoup as much of the €40m they paid in 2020 as possible, although current valuations are around the €20m mark. Whether his suitors in Spain would be willing to even go that high is another matter entirely.
There are many interested parties according to AS, but it seems there’s a wariness to dealing with Wolves and what demands they may have.
