West Ham United manager David Moyes has long maintained a desire to sign a new No.9 and that reportedly continues to be the case for this summer.
The Hammers have had Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri on their agenda for a long time and even made a €35m offer for him in January 2021.
However, the forward and Sevilla rejected it and this is highlighted in today’s AS. Last term, the Morocco international struggled with injuries and form as he managed five goals and three assists from 29 matches.
The newspaper states the La Liga side’s decision to rush him back from a muscle injury damaged the 25-year-old, both physically and mentally.
It’s claimed West Ham are aware of this and have ‘not lost track’ of the player.
Moyes wants a new attacker this summer and therefore is ‘evaluating the possibility’ of making a new offer for En-Nesyri.
Julen Lopetegui’s man has rejected a Hammers offer in the past.
It now remains to be seen what En-Nesyri will do in the ongoing window, if there is a new proposal from West Ham.
