West Ham United are edging closer towards completing a deal for OGC Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo.
Todibo hasn’t been the only Ligue 1 defender on the Hammers’ agenda for this summer.
That’s according to Sportitalia, who say West Ham are in the picture to sign FC Nantes’ Nathan Zézé.
Inter Milan are looking to bolster their defence in this window and have included the 19-year-old in their target. The Serie A side have shown interest, but the deal isn’t going to take shape anytime soon.
Earlier this year, the centre-back signed a new deal until 2028 and the report says Nantes are demanding €30m to sanction his sale, which is far from what the Nerazzurri intend to offer.
As well as the asking price, the Italian champions will face competition from West Ham. The report says Julen Lopetegui’s side have shown interest to sign Zézé in a ‘concrete manner’ in the last few hours, despite closing in on a deal for Todibo.
Sportitalia add Zézé is closer to moving to England than Italy now, where the Hammers aren’t the only Premier League club to show interest in him.
This claim relayed by FcInterNews.it, who add West Ham could walk away from Zézé after securing a deal for Todibo.
