Mads Andersen’s transfer to Luton Town hasn’t worked out the way he’ll have hoped.

Since starring at Barnsley, the defender has played only 19 times for the London club and this season, he played only eight times in the Championship. Now, an exit from Luton could be on the cards for the Dane.

AftonBladet reportMalmo are interested in the 27-year-old and are considering the possibility of a summer move.

Andersen is on the Swedish club’s shortlist and even though no contact has been made for a transfer, the Luton Town player can depart in the next few months.

An exit can definitely help the ex-Barnsley player get more game time and fight for trophies at Malmo.

The centre-back has never played in Sweden before but does have Danish league experience, featuring multiple times for Horsens and Brondby.

When Andersen had joined Luton Town in 2023, there was no confirmation about the length of his contract, so it remains to be seen if the Hatters can earn anything from his sale.
