We have previously covered claims from L’Equipe about Jean-Clair Todibo’s clear preference for Juventus and his rejection of West Ham. The Hammers, it appears, haven’t truly given up and are back with a fresh approach.
That is according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, who state that West Ham have ‘come back to life’ once again.
Juventus’ deal on the table was an initial loan deal with an option to buy which could become an obligation, with Nice to earn between €30m and €35m from the sale.
Gazzetta report West Ham have offered a better loan deal in the ‘last few hours’ but Todibo has showed his inclination towards the Bianconeri once again.
The total valuation of West Ham’s new offer remains unknown but it hasn’t changed Todibo’s decision at all, as he seems keen on heading to the Italian giants.
The report from L’Equipe had previously suggested that the Hammers had put forward a package worth €35m for him and at that point, Todibo seemed interested. The opposite now stands true, even if West Ham’s new offer would be higher than the previous approach.
