Earlier this week, we relayed news from Italy that Liverpool and West Ham United are both in the picture for Juventus’ Aaron Ramsey.
Crystal Palace have now joined the Hammers in the race for the 30-year-old, according to Calciomercato.
The Old Lady want to strengthen their midfield and to do that, they will have to free up the space in the squad by allowing some of the current midfielders to leave in the next market. This is also done to lower the salary budget and raise funds for new signings.
Ramsey, who earns €7m net per year, has experienced ups and downs at the Turin club. This, coupled with his injuries, has convinced the Serie A side to ‘look around’ for options.
The interest in the former Arsenal star isn’t ‘lacking’, as Crystal Palace, and ‘above all West Ham United’ are ‘ready to get started’ with an effort to bring the Welshman back to the Premier League.
David Moyes’ side will have an advantage over the Eagles if they qualify for the European competition next season. Should this happen, then the Hammers could ‘become more than attractive candidates’ to sign Ramsey.
West Ham are fifth in the table and are two points behind Chelsea, who are fourth.
