According to a claim in the Turkish media, West Ham United and Aston Villa will make an attempt to sign Besiktas attacking midfielder Ernest Muci when the transfer reopens in January.

The Albanian was linked with a move to Villa this summer as Besiktas looked to offload him.

Aksam today report on the latest developments regarding Muci with the Super Lig side.

They say West Ham and Aston Villa are showing interest in the playmaker and are ready to knock on Besiktas’ door in the new year. It’s claimed he would be open to a move to the Premier League.

The Turkish media outlet say the Black Eagles will accept offers in the region of €15m after he failed to make an impact since his move from Legia Warsaw during the last winter transfer window.

He made 17 appearances for the Super Lig side last season, scoring four goals. However, he’s only started one game this season in all competitions.

Muci is contracted to Besiktas until June 2027.
