Watford are in the picture to sign UD Las Palmas’ Ivan Cédric this summer.
The striker was on loan at Barcelona Atlètic, which is their reserve team, last season. He impressed for them in the third division, scoring eight goals and registering five assists in the process.
Barcelona won’t exercise the purchase option following their reserve team’s relegation to the fourth division. Therefore, Cédric has returned to Las Palmas, who were relegated from La Liga.
Africa Foot states the 23-year-old is attracting interest from a few clubs and this includes Watford, CD Leganés [relegated from La Liga], Vitória de Guimarães and Granada CF.
The report claims Granada, who will be in the Segunda División with Leganés next season, are in pole position to sign the Cameroonian. They add the frontman is ready to accept their project.
Granada are in talks with Las Palmas but are yet to find an agreement for Cédric.
The Hornets are keen and will have to act quickly to try and get of Granada, if they want to sign Cédric.
Udinese striker Vivaldo Semedo is edging closer completing a move to Vicarage Road and it’s unclear whether Watford will still try to sign Cédric.
