Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku is now closer to a move to AS Roma, according to the latest reports from Italy.
Outlet ASRomaLive today features a story claiming the striker is very much interested in the move, having made calls to know more about the club.
This information comes from Enrico Camelio, who brought an update to Radio Radio today. There, he said the Chelsea player wants the transfer.
“Lukaku called a former Roma player. He wants to come to Roma and I think they’ve agreed enough on his salary, but this doesn’t mean that he’s coming.”
“He would come and let’s see if Abraham is also in the deal, it would be easier.”
Now, Roma may have an agreement with Lukaku, and they now should move to the hardest part, which is to find a deal with Chelsea.
Earlier today, we covered a piece from Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport which claimed that both the Giallorossi and Juventus have chances to sign the centre-forward.
It was even said that the Old Lady reopened talks to get him signed, so they should continue offering competition for Roma in this race.
What seems clear is that Chelsea are struggling to find a buyer who wants to pay the price they’ve set for the player, and with a few days until the end of the window, they may have to settle for the best offer on the table.
