Crystal Palace have completely closed the door on Ismaila Sarr joining Galatasaray, despite the 28-year-old making it clear that he wanted the move.

Haber Sari Kirmizi report that Crystal Palace have no intention of bowing to the pressure that Sarr has put on them over the last week.

The outlet reports that ‘the first piece of bad news’ concerning the potential deal for the Crystal Palace winger has arrived at Galatasaray.

While the 28-year-old very much wanted the move to Türkiye, Crystal Palace are demanding a €60m transfer fee for him.

They cite information from Burhan Can Terzi. He reports that one Ceylan Çalışkan was handing the negotiations and is quotes as saying “his club won’t let Sarr go. They’ve closed the door,” when asked about recent developments.

Reports in Türkiye had previously stated that Galatasaray’s final offer was worth around €40m.

So, they were €20m short of Crystal Palace’s asking price. It seems they have no intention of getting closer to it. That should put an end to what has become a transfer saga over the last week.

Transfer saga shut down

Galatasaray

First Sport Witness covered a report stating Pierre Sage was bluffing over Ismaila Sarr’s future. The belief was that a clash could be on the way between various parties as he looked to force his way out.

Sarr then went AWOL. A report in Türkiye explained that he had not trained for two days, nor was he likely to feature in the weekend’s trip to Everton. The pressure was then firmly on as a separate report explained that he would miss that game.

Crystal Palace went on to lose that game 2-0, with Sarr absent from proceedings. Pierre Sage had been left embarrassed by that, after insisting through the week that he would feature.

Now Crystal Palace appear to have put their foot down. Not only have they shut the door, but they’ve also already put an asking price on his head that Galatasaray don’t want to pay.
