Despite Paris United claiming on Sunday night that Serge Aurier had ‘agreed terms’ with Manchester United over a potential transfer to Old Trafford, the French press don’t seem to acknowledge José Mourinho’s apparent interest in the player recently.
Le Parisien on Monday have a rundown of who could be sold to fund some of the Neymar transfer, and when it comes to the Ivory Coast international, it’s Tottenham and Inter. That’s it.
The French newspaper explain that, as things stand, no offers have reached Paris Saint-Germain for their defender, and Serge Aurier is having to wait for his price to go down before getting his transfer.
Of course, having sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City, Tottenham are a prime target for agents of right-backs looking to get their clients a transfer, but when it comes to buying players, Daniel Levy seems to be very particular this summer.
Le Parisien state the price is currently set at €25m, and the Ligue 1 side have no intention of letting go cheaply, yet clubs including Tottenham are prepared to wait a bit longer for his value to go down as PSG get more desperate to get rid by the day.
Still technically unable to step foot on British soil due to a pending court case, any transfer to Tottenham would have to wait until after that has been cleared.
The date going around for this is August 7th, but nothing official has been confirmed.
