Following a leap forward this season under Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham will want to go into next season with some more reinforcements and a stronger squad.
Whether they can get all their top targets remains to be seen, but one of the players on the list at Spurs could cost them no money up front in terms of transfer fee.
That man is Adrien Rabiot, whose contract with Juventus expires at the end of the season and whom Tottenham are interested in according to Corriere dello Sport.
The midfielder has long been an object of interest from various Premier League sides, and the London club are certainly not the only team in the Premier League keeping an eye on the situation.
A recent report suggested Tottenham had positioned themselves ahead of time to try and sign the player, and Corriere suggest they are very much still there.
Naming two other Premier League clubs as well as Bayern Munich alongside Spurs, the newspaper explain there are ‘many first-tier foreign clubs’ who are ‘interested’ in keeping tabs on him.
In fact, they are ‘moving and testing the waters’ since the prospect of a free transfer for a player who has so much experience under his belt, including a World Cup, is enticing to say the least.
Whether he decides to stay at Juventus remains to be seen, and they will most certainly try and keep him, but Rabiot has also never hidden his desire of trying his luck in the Premier League after a short spell at Manchester City in his youth before making a name for himself at Paris Saint-Germain.
