As soon as the Spanish media started pointing out that Bryan Gil has been getting too little playing time at Tottenham Hotspur, it seemed obvious that La Liga sides would start chasing him.
As Estadio Deportivo features a story on the 22-year-old, they manage to reveal that Real Sociedad are a club who are ‘strongly betting’ on his arrival this month.
It’s said the Spanish club are looking for someone to replace Mohamed-Ali Cho, and Bryan Gil is one of the names they have on their list.
The outlet gives an interesting insight on the player’s stance, though. They claim he’s happy in London and would like to fight for a place in Tottenham’s team, especially because he’s ‘tired’ of being loaned out by the club.
Now in case Spurs really don’t count on him, he doesn’t see a move to Real Sociedad with ‘bad eyes’. That’s partly because it’s thought they have serious plans for him and that’s what he’d like, as he’d prefer a permanent move or a loan with a buying option.
Estadio Deportivo claim Gil’s real desire would be a return to Sevilla, but the operation is seen as ‘practically impossible’, due to the price demanded by Tottenham.
