Despite Tottenham being set to play their next game without an official manager in the dugout, they are still being pushed forward as interested in players for next season.

Whether that’s because the club are looking for names to offer potential candidates as bargaining chips to show they mean business, we don’t know, but Spurs are reportedly keen on West Ham United’s Nayef Aguerd, according to Jeunes Footeux.

The Morocco international has been in fine form since returning from injury, and his goal at the weekend was the decisive factor in the 1-0 win over Southampton.

These contributions are why Tottenham will be taking an interest, as the website state they are following him ‘closely’.

The idea would be to bring him in to add more ‘stability’ to their ‘fragile’ defence, and it’s said he would arrive to compensate for the ‘likely’ exit of Clément Lenglet.

That’s a bit of a strange inclusion, since reports recently stated Tottenham were working to keep the Frenchman around, with a €14m fee enough to get it done.

In comparison, Aguerd, who is now instrumental to West Ham, would be a lot more expensive, as it’s ‘difficult to imagine he could be let go for less than €55-60m’.
